  • How To Download Personal Facebook Profile Information to Computer

Lately today, I downloaded my Facebook personal profile information into my laptop, So, I would like to share my experience with all valuable readers. It is infact a cool tool provided by Facebook for their users. Since most of them have been using Facebook for years, for some reasons they need those information on their local system, because they may have done a lot of activities like status update, photos, videos, comments etc. This tool will be most useful for those who want to take the back-up of their profile activities and information before deleting their Facebook account.

Let us see how to download information from Facebook step by step:

Step 1: Select Account Settings from your Facebook Account tab.

Step 2: In the Account Settings page, you will find “Download Your Information” options, now click on the learn more tab.

Once when you have clicked on learn more link, you will be redirected to another page, where you will find the download button. Which you can see in the below image.

Step 3: Click on the download button, you will prompt a popup window. In that window again click download button.

It will display a message “you will receive an email when your archive is ready for download”.

Once when you click on the okay button you will see the below pending option in your screen. Until your archive was ready it will display pending message.

When your archive was ready, Facebook will intimate you via email.

Inside your mail you will find a link to download. Click the link, now u will be prompted by verifying your password, this feature was added for security purpose.

One the verification process is successful, you will find a “Download Now” button, and below to that you will find the file capacity. My profile contains 480MB.

Your download will be downloaded in the form of zip file. For visual information, I have added a demo video which was provided by Facebook.
